What is Innovation Dublin?
Innovation Dublin is an annual festival that celebrates the innovative spirit of the city. It’s a month of talks, lectures, debates, performances, screenings and other diverse events that highlight the role of creativity and innovation in the daily life of Dubliners. The festival provides a platform for debate and discussion about innovation and an opportunity to discover the huge range of innovative, creative activity happening in the city region.
When is it on?
Innovation Dublin 2011 runs from October 17th to November 18th.
Where is it taking place?
Innovation Dublin events take place throughout the Dublin region. Many organisers choose to host an event in their own premises. Others use facilities made available for the festival, such as the Wood Quay Venue, located in Dublin City Council’s Civic Offices. For more information on using festival facilities, please contact us using the details provided in the Contact section. More information on specific festival venues will be posted once the programme has been finalized.
Who organises it?
The festival is a key project of the Creative Dublin Alliance, a collaboration between Dublin local authorities, universities, state agencies, businesses and the not-for-profit sector. It is coordinated by Dublin City Council’s Economic Development Unit.

HOW DO I SUBMIT MY EVENT DETAILS?
It couldn’t be easier. Just fill out our event submission form and we’ll be in contact with further details.
CAN I STILL GET INVOLVED IN THE 2011 FESTIVAL?
It’s not too late! You can still submit an event for inclusion in the 2011 Festival programme. If you or your organisation has an innovative idea, product, service, project or performance that you’d like to showcase as part of the festival, we’d like to hear from you!
HOW CAN I PROMOTE MY EVENT?
As an event organizer there are some simple things you can do to publicise your event as part of the festival:
1. Include the following text in all press releases about the event:
“[ Your event / name ] is part of Innovation Dublin 2011, which takes place across Dublin from Oct 17th to Nov 18th. The festival demonstrates Dublin’s capacity to inspire, interact and innovate.”
2. Display the ID logo or icon on your website and provide a link back to www.innovationdublin.ie
3. Include the ID logo in any print materials created for the event
WHERE CAN I GET A COPY OF THE INNOVATION DUBLIN LOGO?
We encourage all organisers to use the Innovation Dublin logo in promotional materials associated with their event. You can download a copy of the logo here.
