Third Application Phase of DCU Propeller Venture Accelerator Programme Now Open

The Ryan Academy at Dublin City University is inviting applications for the second round of the business incubation programme for tech start-ups, including €30,000 seed funding and the opportunity to pitch to investors. The Propeller Venture Accelerator, based at the Ryan Academy for Entrepreneurship at Dublin City University, was established in 2010 using the techstars model, with €1 million from Irelandia Investments.

The programme, which commences in January 2013, is designed to accelerate the incubation and development of early-stage high technology companies from Ireland and abroad, with an emphasis on Web 2.0, software, informatics, cleantech and applications.

In return for an equity stake of 7.5%, companies can access seed investment funding of up to €30,000 and a comprehensive business incubation programme, including office space (at Citywest in Dublin), training workshops and mentoring assistance from some of Ireland’s leading companies to accelerate the development of the enterprise and turn concepts into marketable products, processes and services.

The deadline for applications is 22 October 2012.
